KP Neighbors introduces . . .

FOOD PANTRY FILL-UP

• CLICK HERE FOR EVENTS •

Our local food pantries are being affected by our present economic downturn.
Behind each pantry you find a child, a neighbor, a friend.
Listed below are several local food pantries.
Visiting one of these, with a small food donation, once a month, is helping a neighbor in need.

Throughout the year, KP Neighbors will be sponsoring various food drives.
Working together, we can make a difference.

On June 3rd 2009, Kings Park Neighbors Association was proud to present our annual Community Service Scholarship to a truly deserving young woman, Ms. Theresa Lynn. She has not only excelled in academics and sports as a Kings Park High School student, but has also proven herself as an enthusiastic, civic minded young woman, who has a strong desire to help others at school, in her community and even in another country. We wish her the best of luck in college and in her future goals of dedicating her life to helping others less fortunate by becoming a physician with Doctors Without Borders. Congratulations Theresa!

During our April 10th meeting we accepted donations for THE SUFFOLK COUNTY COALITION AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, an organization dedicated to providing safety and support to family violence victims. This organization provides a wide range of services including a 24 hour Hotline (631 666-8833),
Safe Harbor Shelter and vocational and legal advocacy.

KPNA would like to thank our members for their endless generosity.
All items collected were brought to the Coalition and will undoubtedly help out in some small way.
